Video: ATTITUDE In The GYM
Today, I want to talk to you about, "Attitude."
Attitude is a big factor in the gym. It will actually determine how good a workout will be.
I discovered this in my own personal physical fitness journey, when I go to the YMCA. If I start out with a negative attitude of, "Man, this is a labor that I am not looking forward to," it makes the gym experience tedious.
I have to break through it. I have to find a way to get past it. Usually, the only way I can get past that attitude is it change my attitude.I have to make the decision to change my attitude.
This is what I want to talk to you about in The GYM. What is your attitude?
The simplest way I can put it is: Do you have an attitude of "I got to" or do you have attitude of "I get to" - "Got to" versus "get to."
A "got to" attitide is basically negative, pointing to obligation.
A "get to" attitude is positive and recognizes opportunities with gratitude.
It is really just that phrase "got to" or "get to." The question is, which one do you have in The GYM?
In the context of God You and the Mission, what's your attitude?
You're probably finding out that your attitude does determine how well you do in The GYM (in the context of God You and the Mission). So, today just think about your attitude. Is it one of "got to" or "get to."

What is your ATTITUDE In The GYM?
Do you have a "GOT TO" ATTITUDE?
Or, do you have a "GET TO" ATTITUDE?
At the United States Air Force Academy, I used to hear the saying, "Your ATTITUDE determines your altitude."
Said another way, your ATTITUDE determines how well you do.
In The GYM - God You Mission - your ATTITUDE makes a big difference. You may already be experiencing this.
Whenever I go to the YMCA for my physical workout and I start with a GOT TO attitude that saysobligation and "I really don't want to do this", the weights feel heavier and the worhout feels like work.
You CHoose Your Attitude
I avoid this by making the decision to hold a GET TO ATTITUDE. This ATTITUDE helps me mentally focus on pushing myself to do better in my workouts.
Yes, there is a mental choice/decision involved. I have to be INTENTIONAL in choosing the GET TO ATTITUDE. When I do, my body responds positively as I go after the various challenges in my workouts.
In The GYM - God You Mission - What is your ATTITUDE like?
Because of what God has done through Christ Jesus and with the power of the Holy Spirit, you can choose the GET TO ATTITUDE.
You can LIVE the GET TO ATTITUDE In The GYM.
Are You FIT?
You are Always in The GYM. Are You FIT?
To be fit is to be of a suitable quality, standard, or type to meet the required purpose. It is not enough to say that you are fit. It is not enough to appear to be fit.
Fitness requires Faithful action.
Fitness requires Intentional action.
Fitness requires that you remain Teachable.
Are you fit?
This is a question I continue to ask myself. I never really feel like I am fit to be a minister for Christ, but I continue to trust that He is making me what He wants me to be. Nevertheless, I use this question to examine myself periodically going to God and asking Him if I am fit for His purpose
